The Giant Wild Olive Tree
A wild olive tree so large several people cannot reach around it — a living marker of the old forest.
On the road up to Doi Chom Dao stands a huge wild olive tree that travellers use as a landmark. The trunk takes several people to reach around, and its shade covers that whole stretch of road.
Locals use it as a meeting point and a place to pull over — a good measure of how intact the Phu Sang forest still is.
